Our latest exhibition, "Crap: A Beeple Retrospective," was a smash hit - more than 500 people came to DUMBO for the opening reception on 2/1/18 to meet the artist, snag a free print, and, most importantly, to see the art! Mike Winkelmann, also known as Beeple, is a prolific artist working primarily in Cinema 4D, and the Made in NY Media Center by IFP is proud to be able to show off more 60 of his creations, curated by our gallery manager Thomas D. Rotenberg. The exhibition will be on display until 2/28/18. We'll be debuting a new exhibition on the first Thursday of every month, so don't miss out!

April saw the opening of Expanded Cinema, Volume Two – our second collaboration with NYU ITP’s Big Screens class, in which students spend the semester crafting an installation to be shown on a 120’ long screen at (place). Artists frequently have to adapt existing work to new spaces and new specifications, so class instructor Todd Bryant uses exhibitions here at the Media Center as a teaching point by forcing each team of artists to re-think their work and how to transform it to fit into a different exhibition venue.
